Anna has a strong commitment to public and community service and a respected career in marketing.
A Southern Cross University Alumnus of the Year, with a Master of Business Administration, Anna served as Vice Chair of the Australian Tourism Export Council (2006 –2010) and was acknowledged with its Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award in 2013. Anna also served on the Board of Tourism and Events Queensland, a statutory body of the Queensland Government (2012–2018).
Anna is currently Director Sales and Marketing for Kerzner International, a global resort operator and Deputy Chair of Tourism Australia, an Australian Government statutory authority.
Since 2010, Anna has also served on the board of the national aeromedical rapid-response organisation, CareFlight. She is Co-Founder and Director of The NELUNE Foundation, a charitable organisation providing assistance to NSW public hospitals and cancer patients.
Anna was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2017 Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Julie was the founding Director and former Chair of JBA, now Ethos Urban, a leading urban planning and development advisory firm with offices in NSW, Queensland and Victoria and a staff of over 130 people.
A graduate in Town Planning, with post-graduate qualifications in Land Economy, Julie is a Fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA), a Certified Practicing Planner, an honorary Fellow of the Australian Property Institute and Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Julie is currently an Acting Commissioner of the NSW Land and Environment Court, a member of Landcom’s Design Advisory Panel and non-executive Director of Essence Project Management.
Previous positions held include Member of the UNSW Built Environment Advisory Council, President of the Planning Institute of Australia (NSW), Member of the Heritage Council of NSW, Chair of the Planning Committee of the Property Council of Australia (NSW) and Member of the NSW Premier’s Urban Design Advisory Committee.
Judith currently leads Community Partnerships for Leadlease Communities across NSW and the ACT and has a strong focus on economic and social sustainability in Western Sydney. Judith has also been active in driving engagement and employment opportunities for Aboriginal people across the region.
Judith is a member of the Board of NSW Business Chamber, chairs the Business, Environment and Economic Committee and is a member of the Human Resources & Succession Committee. She previously sat on the Board of Trustees of the Western Sydney University, as an elected staff representative. Judith worked with the University for 11 years prior to joining Lendlease and was involved in business development and research commercialisation.
As a Western Sydney resident for nearly 40 years, Judith has been active throughout the region with leadership roles in business and community organisations. She has been President of the Penrith Valley Chamber of Commerce, Vice Chair of the board of Mamre Plains Ltd, board member of the Penrith Business Alliance and Chair of its Finance and Risk Committee.
Michael is the General Manager of PARKROYAL Parramatta after serving in leadership roles in the Pan Pacific Hotel Group across Australia and New Zealand. Michael is currently a board member of Tourism Accommodation Australia and has previously held the position of Chair of the Australian Hotels Association NSW, Accommodation Division.
In several management roles Michael has overseen major capital investment projects in tourism and tourism accommodation and in his work with SPHC Group (now IHG) was responsible for the development of new hotels, industry products and feasibility testing.
As a Western Sydney resident, Michael is committed to development of the tourism accommodation industry across the region.
Marcus has 24 years’ experience in planning and natural resources with the NSW Government. Following a successful career in law and 16 years in senior executive government roles focused on service delivery, law, planning policy and reform, Marcus now leads the Planning Services division of the Department of Planning and Environment as Deputy Secretary.
Leading a team of over 330 people, Planning Services assesses the State’s most significant projects and is responsible for planning operations and local environmental plan-making in the metropolitan and regional areas of NSW. The division ensures industry complies with the conditions of project approvals, implements strategic planning for rural and regional NSW and supports regional and local planning panels throughout NSW.
As Deputy Secretary, Marcus drives a strong customer and community focused culture that is outcomes driven and builds confidence in the assessment of projects and proposals where ongoing compliance also plays a critical role.
Before his career in government, Marcus worked in private legal practice. He has a bachelor’s degree in both Arts and Law and a Master of Laws from Sydney University.
Deon is Director of the Greater Sydney Branch of the National Parks and Wildlife Service where he leads a multi-disciplinary team of 320 staff in the planning, coordination and delivery of operational management of national parks across Sydney. These include some of the most visited and iconic parks along the coast, by the harbour and in the mountains.
Deon has 28 years’ experience in protected area management in NSW and South Africa and holds several tertiary qualifications in environmental management and public administration.
Peter has more than 30 years’ experience in finance, accounting, tax, real estate and funds management in the public and private sectors.
He is currently Managing Director of PcRoberts Consulting services, an Independent Director to the Landcom Board (member of its Audit and Risk Management Committee and its People, Culture and Nominations Committee) and on the Board of Directors for KU Children’s Services (and a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee).
His previous roles include Interim Chief Financial Officer at UrbanGrowth NSW; Chief Financial and Operations Officer of Barangaroo Delivery Authority; Chief Financial Officer at Charter Hall Group; Dexus Property Group; Colonial First State Property; and Fund Manager with Stockland Unlisted Property Funds and Lend Lease Real Estate Investments.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Finance and Administration from the University of New England and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance Investment (Securities Institute of Australia). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
During her diverse, 30-year career as a landscape architect, Suellen has led private and public organisations in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and the Northern Territory. Her experience spans open space planning and landscape design, recreation and audience engagement, park management and nature-based tourism.
She is a respected authority on strategy, financing public lands and organisational establishment and development and has presented nationally and internationally on these issues.
Suellen has been the inaugural Executive Director of Western Sydney Parklands Trust since 2008. In 2013 her responsibilities expanded to include leading the administration for Parramatta Park Trust. Suellen has qualifications in Botany and Ecology and a master’s degree in landscape architecture.
She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architecture and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
