Foundation Plan of Management

The Fernhill Estate Foundation Plan of Management to 2026 establishes the custodian and stewardship arrangement for the estate and guides its development and renewal.

The Fernhill Estate Foundation Plan of Management to 2026 (PDF 8.5 MB) was adopted on 19 October 2021. This first plan of management for the estate establishes custodianship and stewardship arrangements.

We undertook extensive community and stakeholder consultation on the plan of management from December 2020 to February 2021. We are now implementing the actions set out in the plan to care for the estate and to open up the estate for the community to visit and enjoy.

We are updating the conservation management plan for the estate to include an assessment of and response to the significant cultural landscapes of the estate and its Aboriginal history. The revised conservation management plan will be a companion document to the plan of management and will directly inform how we manage and protect the resources of the estate over the coming years.
