The energy levels will max out this year at Parklands Food Fest! With her love of fabulous desserts, Anna Polyviou creates a party atmosphere wherever she goes, and extraordinary sweet treats too.
Anna has earned her stripes as a professional pastry chef since winning a travelling scholarship as Best Apprentice back in 2000. That took her to the famous Claridge’s Hotel in London where she worked with some of the best in the business. She’s also worked with the legendary Pierre Herme in Paris and won countless pastry and dessert competitions with her original and exciting approach.
Since then, she’s transformed the pastry team at the Shangri-La hotel in Sydney and became a driving force behind the revolution of patisserie in hotels around the country. Her sell-out Dessert Degustation has put the Shangri-La on the culinary map where she still hosts sell-out high teas.
She’s a familiar TV face too – with guest appearances on MasterChef as well as a presenter role on Family Food Fight Australia, with Matt Moran and Tom Parker Bowles.
Her first cookbook Sweet Street sold out within weeks. A new book will be released in the second half of 2019. At Food Fest, perhaps?
